The
hallmark of an Advanced Driver can be expressed as "a quiet
efficiency" which comes from highly developed powers of observation,
anticipation and planning. It has been said that a Masterly Driver should be
able to drive a purple sports car with yellow spots from John O'Groats to Lands
End, progressively, but without being noticed by his fellow motorists. During an Advanced Course, You will learn skills which will allow you to drive more safely, and with more confidence and enjoyment. By the end of the Course, you will be fully prepared to take an Advanced Test with either the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) or the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) which could see a reduction in your insurance premium. Course conducted in the client's car. |

| The
High Performance Driving Course is not necessarily about the car; it is mainly
about the driver and matching his/her ability to the vehicle. My High
Performance Course is for skilled drivers who have already benefited from some
previous driver training at an advanced level. |

High Performance driving relies on the driver devoting 100% concentration and
continually applying a defensive approach to the driving environment. It allows
the driver to get the best from the car and encourages a flowing, responsible
style of driving, yet exploiting the full potential of the car. One way of achieving this flowing, 'quiet efficiency' is to hone such skills off road and that is why I encourage clients to use the facilities at Millbrook and Bruntingthorpe. The on-road training will be conducted in areas of light traffic where driving is more fluid and enjoyable. Course conducted in the client's car. |
